“The Bullet Peace Pendant was created in 2016, in memory of Leila Alaoui, my beloved friend who was tragically killed in the terrorist attack in Ouagadougou while on assignment for Amnesty International. The pendant was my way of transforming grief into hope: taking the form of a bullet, an object of destruction and reimagining it as an amulet of peace. From its creation, the Bullet Peace carried Leila’s spirit next to my heart, allowing me to keep her close while continuing her fight for humanity through art, beauty, and compassion.” - Julien Riad Sahyoun

Since its creation, the Bullet Peace has been dedicated to children living in war zones. Collaborations with Action for Children and Save the Children have transformed the pendant into a means for tangible impact, helping to protect, heal, and empower those most at risk.
